Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’ divorce documents have been revealed, showing the Australian actor has hired one of the top lawyers in Hollywood to bat in his corner.

Filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, as he made the first play in the legal dissolution of his marriage to Miley, Laura A Wasser was revealed to be Liam’s attorney as he ended his union with the singer.

The two announced they were separating last week, with Miley taking off to Italy and being spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter, while Liam lay low in Australia with brother Chris Hemsworth.

Now the documents he filed alongside Wasser have revealed the celebrity couple will keep their individual earnings and assets due to an iron-clad prenuptial agreement.

The two are said to be worth up to £300million, with multiple properties bought between the two successful stars.

Liam cited irreconcilable differences for the split, following their marriage on 23 December, 2018.

However the date of their separation has been kept under lock and key, listed as ‘TBD’ (to be determined) on the legal document.

The actor is asking the court not to award either of them any spousal support either, as he cited the prenup signed before they tied the knot.

Behind him is a powerhouse lawyer Wasser, who has represented the likes of Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie in their respective separations from Amber Heard and Billy-Bob Thornton. She also repped Kim Kardashian when the reality star split from Kris Humphries after their infamous 72-day marriage, and Britney Spears in her split and resulting custody battle with Kevin Federline.

While some of her previous celebrity clients went through lengthy legal squabbles (such was the case with Kim and Kris after he called their marriage ‘fraudulent’), Liam and Miley have no children together, therefore, things should be smooth sailing.

The two were married at Miley’s Nashville home over Christmas during an intimate ceremony.

‘It was a really special day. It was pretty much just immediate family,’ Miley said of the special day, attended by the couple’s close family.

She added: ‘I feel really happy and really fortunate to be with such a great person.’

It all ended after Liam and Miley announced their split earlier this month.

A statement from Miley’s reps last Sunday read: ‘Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is whats best while they both focus on themselves and careers.

‘They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.’

Brody Jenner partied it up for his 36^th birthday on the beach in Malibu with his girlfriend Josie Canseco, along with friends and family.

The adjacent-brother to the Kardashians held is birthday bash at the glitzy TAO restaurant in Beverly Hills, with the star-studded guest list including Jenner’s mother Linda Thompson, brother Brandon, actor Corey Feldman and his wife Courtney Anne Mitchell.

Canseco, 22, who is the daughter of former baseball legend Jose Canseco and model Jessica Canseco, wore a powder blue crop top and shorts and was all smiles as she joined her beau at his party.

Going through a divorce isn’t easy at the best of times, but Miley Cyrus is going for custody of all the pets she and Liam Hemsworth shared following their split.

Although the couple didn’t have any kids together, both of them were big animal lovers, but it looks like Miley’s keeping all the fur babies according to new reports.

Sources close to the couple told TMZ that Miley is going to keep their seven dogs, two horses, two mini horses, three cats and a pig as they divide up their belongings.

While you’d usually imagine people would sort out who keeps the pets between themselves, in California there’s actually a law that allows judges to decide who is best suited to keep the animals in a divorce.

The judge apparently tends to side with whoever cares for the animal but can even award joint custody in the animal-loving state.

Despite the couple caring for the animals together much of the time, Miley was the one who homed the majority of her pets, mostly through adoption and even named a whole album on her deceased animals (2015’s Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, FYI).

Liam was also a fan of their menagerie, and was the one who saved the animals from the wildfires that destroyed the couple’s Malibu home.

TMZ reported that Liam filed for divorce from Miley this week, and that the couple have a pre-nup that keeps all of their possessions separate, so it probably won’t be a difficult one to hash out, especially as Liam isn’t planning to challenge custody of the pets.

Miley also took to her social media accounts to hit back at claims she cheated on Liam after photos emerged of her kissing Kaitlynn Carter on a boat during a recent holiday around the time the split was announced.

In the latest blow to come from Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s breakup, Miley has now thrown out her ex-husband’s belongings, according to reports.

The 26-year-old has allegedly thrown away the Aussie actor’s ‘favourite things’, while some things have been ‘boxed up’, according to a source who spoke to Radar Online.

‘She’s thrown out so many of his favourite things, from framed photos and signed posters to designer clothes and jewellery,’ the source stated.

‘Some of it has been tossed in the garbage but other stuff has been boxed off and sent to Goodwill.’

This comes after the Wrecking Ball singer had to defend herself, following accusations that she had been unfaithful to Liam.

In a lengthy Instagram statement, she said: ‘I admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating.

‘Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before and it remains true, I love Liam and always will.

‘But at this point, I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind.’

It had previously been speculated that Miley had cheated on the actor after she was spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter, as the two were on holiday together in Lake Como in Italy.

An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that ‘they were not trying to hide it all’.

‘There were other people sitting by the pool. They were fully on a date, getting drinks, just the two of them. They even got a couple of massages at the hotel,’ they added.

Miley also seems to address the breakup between her and Liam in her latest single, Slide Away, with lyrics about feeling ‘lost’ and ‘letting go’ in a relationship.

Meanwhile, Liam has reportedly relocated to his home country of Australia to be with his brother, Chris Hemsworth.

Miley Cyrus made her first awards show outing since her split from Liam Hemsworth at the MTV Video Music Awards.

And she most definitely wore her heart on her sleeve.

The 26-year-old debuted a post break-up tattoo as she performed her new single Slide Away at the VMAs.

This is the second tatt Miley has got this month, also having an artistic piece based on an Italian sculpture inked on her forearm after she returned from her holiday with Kaitlynn Carter.

The girls’ romance first materialised in Lake Como as they holidayed together with friends just weeks after Kaitlynn, 30, confirmed her split from husband of one year Brody Jenner.

Then the proverbial really hit the fan when Miley confirmed she and Liam, 29, had parted ways after 10 years together and eight months of marriage.

The timing of her poolside PDA with Kaitlynn wasn’t ideal, with rumours that the star had cheated on The Hunger Games actor rife.

However, Miley recently took to Twitter to shoot down the claims.

I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liam a penis cake for his birthday and licking it. I swung on a wrecking ball naked. There are probably more nudes of me on the internet than maybe any woman in history.

‘But the truth is, once Liam & I reconciled,I meant it, & I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here. I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP.

‘I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.

And Slide Away seems to suggest that the couple simply grew apart, with lyrics including: ‘Move on, we’re not 17, I’m not who I used to be, You say that everything changed, You’re right, we’re grown now.’

However, Miley seemed to throw a bit of shade at her ex at the VMAs, changing ‘we’re grown now’ to ‘I’m grown now’.

Ouch.

Miley left the VMAs hand in hand with Kaitlynn, who flew to New York to support the artist formerly known as Hannah Montana.

The Hills: New Beginnings star was also seen caressing Miley’s hair backstage, and we’re starting to suspect this is more than a holiday romance.

‘There is far too much negativity being directed at someone who I love and care about very much,’ Brody wrote.

‘Kaitlynn and I have been best friends for six years, and we continue to be.’

It looks as though taking care for brother Liam has taken a toll on Chris Hemsworth.

Liam flew to the Hemsworth family’s hometown of Byron Bay in Australia to lean on his Thor actor brother for support as he heals from his dramatic breakup with Miley Cyrus.

And it looks like the drama may be having an effect on Chris, 36, too.

A few hours after Miley performed an emotional break-up song at the MTV VMAs, Marvel Universe star Chris was seen picking up a box of groceries from a local supermarket and looked rather downbeat.

Chris dressed down for the quick grocery run, wearing Nike trainers, running shorts and a green khaki t-shirt.

With his godly size, we don’t know how he thought wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses would keep him low profile.

The two brothers have been seen hanging out on the beach together, surfing and working out, but it seems Liam and Chris are struggling to deal with the Dear John actor’s heartache.

Meanwhile, Miley went on stage and shared her immense pain with her new song Slide Away during the VMAs in Newark, New Jersey.

The Mother’s Daughter singer silenced the audience as she sang about moving on from a broken relationship.

The 26 year old sang: ‘Move on, we’re not 17 / I’m not who I used to be… You say that everything changed / You’re right, we’re grown now.’

Miley and Liam announced their separation earlier this month after being married for less than a year, and rumours have been flying around that there were problems with alcohol use and possible infidelity.

The former Disney star left the VMAs with her rumoured new beau Kaitlynn Carter, but previously posted about her innocence on her social media.

She posted: ‘I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time. Kim Petras has paid the ultimate compliment to her friend and inspiration Miley Cyrus, claiming the popstar has ‘one of the best voices of our generation’ while also comparing her to Stevie Nicks.

Miley, 26, had the pleasure of meeting the German popstar at a party in March earlier this year, and it seems they just clicked and hit it off straight away.

It was an even sweeter moment for Kim, as Miley revealed she was a huge fan of the rising singer.

Recalling the moment they both pretty much fangirled over each other, Kim told Metro.co.uk: ‘It was really great. She was like, “Oh my God”, we need to take pictures and I love your music.

‘I mean, we have the same manager, Larry Rudolph. So that’s always good I guess.’

So basically, Kim and Miley were always destined to meet.

Heaping praise on Miley’s musical talents, Kim continued: ‘I think she has like one of the best voices of our next generation. Just her voice is so beautiful.

‘It reminds me of like Stevie Nicks. Just like it’s an iconic, amazing voice. So for sure, I think I’ve been inspired by her and I really love her.’

Kim, 26, admits she’s always been a huge fan of Miley, going all the way back to when the Wrecking Ball singer was best known for starring in Disney’s Hannah Montana.

‘I mean, I was like a big Hannah Montana stan as a kid. And I was always bumping the soundtrack, that was my s**t,’ Kim admitted.

She added: ‘Her voice. I think it’s just really one of the great voices of our generation.’

That’s quite a compliment.

The result of their chance meeting was a pretty cool photo of Kim and Miley smiling and pulling peace signs.

The I Don’t Want It All singer is currently in the UK after flying in to perform at Manchester Pride over the weekend, in promotion of her latest single Icy.

Although Kim, who is transgender, was happy to fly the flag for the LGBTQ community, she also said it’s time that she’s judged solely on her music.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth seem to be having the smoothest divorce of all time as sources claim it should be finalised by 31 October.

The couple married in December last year but ended their relationship just eight months later with Miley saying that she was ‘in a different place’ now than when she was younger.

According to The Blast, settlement discussions between the pair have been ‘amicable’ since Liam filed for divorce last week and their pre-nup means dividing their assets is easy.

The couple are said to be letting their lawyers draft documents to be signed as soon as possible and the ‘very specific’ pre-nup agreement they signed before they got married is helping speed up the process.

Both Miley and Liam will keep ownership of their property and neither will pay spousal support to the other. The couple don’t have any children and Miley will be keeping their pets. 

According to California law, any money earned during the married would be classed as joint property but sources claim this is a ‘non issue’ in Miley and Liam’s case.

Miley Cyrus categorically denied cheating on estranged husband Liam Hemsworth after she was pictured kissing Kaitlynn Carter hours after the couple’s split announcement.

But now Spencer Pratt has given his two cents on the matter, claiming Kaitlynn was ’emotionally’ involved with Miley before she separated from husband Brody Jenner.

The drama, it never ends.

The Hills: New Beginnings star Spencer – not exactly known for keeping his oar out – has accused Kaitlynn, 30, of ‘having a thing’ with Miley, 26, before her split from husband of one year Brody.

Pratt, 36, made the comments in his Cosmopolitan column after the latest episode of New Beginnings which saw Kaitlynn react in fury at rumours being spread that she and Brody, 36, were in an open relationship.

The Celebrity Big Brother star wrote: ‘It’s tough for me to listen to Kaitlynn complain about people talking about her allegedly open relationship with Brody when we know she had a thing going with Miley.

‘She already had something going on with her when these scenes were filming—maybe not physically, but definitely emotionally. No one’s judging you for whatever it is you and Brody do when he’s not sleeping in his car [in reference to the star sleeping in his car during a row with his wife]. We just don’t want people to lie about their lives.’

Spencer then claimed Kaitlynn shouldn’t have gone on reality TV if she didn’t want people gossiping about her marriage, and pointed out that Brody had been discussing their sex life at length on his podcast and his series Sex With Brody.

And singling out Kaitlyn saying on the show that people should have ‘common decency’, Spencer added: ‘I would love to know Liam Hemsworth’s thoughts on Kaitlynn’s recent displays of “common decency”.

‘You know what I call “common decency”? Getting it on at your Italian villa and not in front of the paparazzi.’

Ouch.

In fairness to Kaitlynn, Brody doesn’t seem too upset with her and her new relationship with Miley.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, he wrote: ‘There is far too much negativity being directed at someone who I love and care about very much. I feel the need to set the story straight. Kaitlynn and I have been best friends for 6 years, and we continue to be. We, like many others before us and many after us, grew in different directions over those same 6 years.

‘Kaitlynn is a wonderful person, beautiful and fun to be with, always a positive force in my life. We decided the best move for both of us was to keep our love for each other strong but move forward separately with our lives. I respect Kaitlynn and care deeply about her. She deserves to be able to move forward in her life with respect and happiness.’

Miley – who announced her split from husband Liam Hemsworth last month – went all androgynous in a white shirt and tailored trousers while Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn kept things chic in an LBD.

Videos also showed the birthday gal sitting next to Miley at a table in front of a giant ice-cream sundae with a candle (quirky – love that for her).

She beamed as Miley and a group of her mates sang the obligatory ‘Happy birthday’ to her.

And while the short clip is full of beautiful imaginary, we couldn’t help but notice a number of references to her broken marriage with Liam Hemsworth.

The pair dated for more than 10 years, and just last month broke the news that they’d decided to call things off.

But as the true reasons behind their decision to end things are yet come to light, it seems the 26-year-old has hinted at them in both her lyrics and visuals.

While floating in an outdoor pool, the star began the video of herself entering a house party, all alone.

Walking through the crowds she seems to spot a couple kissing from afar – something she would normally champion.

However, setting the tone of her heartbreak, the Malibu songstress quickly looks away and she pulls a face before moving on from the view.

This could be a hint at her current feelings towards love following her split from Liam.

After heading through the party, Miley then returns to the pool where she can be seen floating on her back.

As the camera zooms in a 10 of hearts card can be seen sunk to the bottom of the water.

Although she hasn’t confirmed any of the references, we can’t help but think this is symbolic for the 10 years Miley and Liam dated.

And with the card well and truly at the bottom of the pool – it looks as though there’s no retrieving their love.

It has been rumoured that Miley and Liam went their separate ways due to his excessive drinking.

A source close to Miley told TMZ she ‘tried valiantly to save the marriage and the dealbreaker was that Liam was drinking a lot and using certain drugs.’

The actor’s friends have denied the claims, however it seems the popstar has referenced alcohol on a number of occasions in the video.

Empty bottles and wine glasses can be seen bobbing up and down in the pool, as Miley wades through the water.

Fans of the singer appear to think the video is a follow on from her Can’t Stop track.

The party has finally started to come to an end, just as her relationship has, and she is already tired of the aftermath.

One shot shows her looking out over both the pool, and the rubbish littered all over the decking.

This could be a metaphor for something beautiful being tarnished and damaged beyond repair.

Has Miley finally found peace?

Despite the chaos that is happening around her, Miley appears to be at peace as she floats in the pool.

The star is on her own, which could mean she is happy with herself and no longer being married.

She also looks blissfully unaware of what’s happening inside of the party, which could be a nod towards the fact she has finally moved on from the drama.

Chris Hemsworth has been reunited with his dog after she went missing and everything is right in the world again.

The Thor star’s Goldendoodle, Sunny, ran off in Byron Bay earlier this week after getting zapped by electrical fencing.

The actor’s family friend Tracey Sparkes shared an appeal on Facebook explaining that Sunny was a ‘very friendly’ pooch who was ‘approaching her third night lost’, Page Six reported.

She wrote, ‘She ran off after getting a zap from electric fencing,’ before urging members of a local Byron Bay Facebook group to ‘please keep a look out for her’.

Chris’ personal trainer, Luke Zocchi also posted about Sunny, calling her a ‘much loved family pet’ in a missing poster shared on his Instagram.

Chris and his wife Elsa Pataky, who are thought to have adopted Sunny in November 2014, were reunited with their pooch after all their efforts.

Their pal Tracey updated her missing poster, stating: ‘Sunny has been found safe… Thank you everyone for looking out for her.’

God, we love a happy ending.

Chris, who shares three children – daughter India, seven, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, five – with Elsa, lives the surfer lifestyle in Byron Bay in between jetting off and making films.

He and Elsa sold their Malibu and Santa Monica homes and moved back to his native Australia several years ago.

And it looks like Chris might have some company in the form of his younger brother Liam, 29, who’s apparently keen to move Down Under after his split with Miley Cyrus.

A source told Radar Online: ‘He’s taking a long break and heading back to Byron Bay to be with his brother and mates, do plenty of surfing and soul-searching. Then he’ll figure out his next move.

‘He’ll still come to LA to do business and shoot movies, but this whole experience has really reinforced to Liam that Hollywood’s not for him in the long term.’

Chris, who recently sent an inspirational message to a fan with a brain tumour, previously admitted that he never felt at ‘home’ in Los Angeles and moved so the children can also feel comfortable.

The 36-year-old explained: ‘LA, I love it, it was great being there with the opportunities with work, [but] it didn’t feel like home.

‘Instantly, when I get off the plane, I’m back. Which is I think is essential to what we want to give [the children].’
