Billy Ray Cyrus has given his twerking daughter Miley Cyrus his full support, putting her recent recent spate of racy performances down to her evolving as an artist.
The veteran musician, 52, defended 20-year-old Miley’s sexy new look as he sat down with Piers Morgan on his CNN talk show Piers Morgan Live on Thursday night.
Piers kicked off the interview by saying he wouldn’t be too pleased if his daughter ‘turned to twerking’, to which Billy Ray, referencing Miley’s controversial VMAs performance with Robin Thicke, replied: ‘I think she could’ve went out and sang the song in a flannel shirt and a pair of jeans, and it would have still been just as strong.
